3 Ways to Keep Cool This Summer in Medina County


With temperatures ever-rising, here are a few pools and water parks in Northeast Ohio where you can cool down this summer! Have fun and remember to comply with the facility’s safety provisions, including social distancing.

Medina Recreation Center

The competition and leisure pools are open! The pool hours are Monday – Friday 7 am – 6 pm, Saturday, and Sunday 10 am-5 pm. The competition pool has eight lanes and 2 – 1-meter diving boards. The leisure pool is over 6,000 square feet and features a shallow entry for children and those with special needs. This pool is known for its 129 ft—water slide. Memorial Park Pool

This Medina pool’s hours are Monday through Sunday – 11 am to 7 pm. This pool offers a zero-depth entry, 5-foot mushroom water feature, double flume water slide, and more! Grizzly Outdoor Pool

Wadsworth’s Grizzly Outdoor Pool is open daily, from 12 pm – 6 pm. This pool is a collaboration between the city of Wadsworth and the Wadsworth YMCA. The pool is over 2,000 square feet and has a toddler slide, spray features, and a play structure! Fees range between $6 for children and $8 for adults. It’s understandable that you want to be outside after staying inside for so long. Keep in mind, there will be limited capacities and remember to adhere to the Ohio Department of Health’s protocols to stay safe!
